Parkview Benefits from Eagle Scout Project

Joe Chapman, a Parkview alumni, and CHS Senior, has generously created an outdoor living space in our front yard.  When Joe contacted me last spring, he was eager to initiate a project that would earn him his rank as Eagle Scout.  Joe was interested in a project that would also benefit the Parkview School Community.  In discussing options, we decided to create a comfortable place for families to relax and visit while waiting to pick up their children at the end of the day.  We chose an area just south of the front entrance where he could add a path and seating.  It was important that the area be attractive as well as functional.  Joe recruited family and friends to help with the ground preparation in late August.  He then raised funds and sought donations to get durable all-weather benches.  Joe will add the final touches this spring with a third bench so there will be plenty of space to enjoy our sunny afternoons.  Thank You Joe Chapman!
